In this life every single one of us will have moments where we don’t feel normal. We feel out of place and abnormal and we don’t know if we can talk to anyone about it because it doesn’t seem right. We all get scared, some more than others, especially those of us who don’t feel like they can discuss their problems with others.
The thing is, there will always be somebody in your life that you can talk to. Whether it be a Parent or a Guardian, Siblings or Friends. There are even Councillors, Doctors, Helplines who are willing to listen because they want to help you. You will never be alone, somebody will always be there to listen to you. Many people are scared to go to their Parents, I know I was. I told my older Sister everything because we’re very close. We shared a room for eleven years of my life so I felt I could go to her for anything. After a while I started to realise that my Mum was getting upset when I never told her things, so I upped my courage to tell her things a little bit at a time, and it really helped. Now, I tell her everything and it makes her happy, so i’m happy. People want you to tell them things because they really do want to help, it’s in our blood to help.
The thing to remember is no matter how alone you feel you aren’t by yourself in this. We will all stick together and help each other through it because we all know how each other is feeling. Expressing these things can sometimes make them better. Even if it’s through writing them down in a diary which I do and i’m Fifteen. If it helps you, do it.
Set yourself goals. Write them down, put them in a jar and at the end of each year see whether you have reached it. It’s an amazing feeling knowing you’ve achieved something you didn’t think you could believe me. Just have faith in yourself, and by doing things that help you to feel better about yourself will help you realise that things can get better. You aren’t alone, you’re one of thousands of us who feel the same way. Even people in books feel like we do. The Fictional world is sometimes like the real world.
Everyone has their own special way of making themselves feel better and distract them from the pressures of the real world.
